Since 2022, DocStop organises the DocStop Award every year. With this award, we want to honour companies from the transportation industry, manufacturing industry and trading industry that offer facilities and services that go above and beyond the standard, and that benefit truck drivers.
Many companies in the transport sector, but also in the industrial and commercial sectors, take care of the well-being of truck drivers, for example by providing free showers, fitness and health offers, medical care and much more. We want these best practices to set an example. That is why we award the best companies with the annual DocStop Award and in this way publicly recognise their positive, driver-friendly commitment.
All companies that go above and beyond the normal level of commitment to the health, well-being and general living conditions of professional drivers can participate. As the DocStop Award is presented in different categories, companies from the transport and logistics sector can apply as well as companies from the loading industry, freight transport centres and logistics hubs or container and intermodal terminals. Excluded are petrol stations, service stations, truck stops, accommodation facilities and other companies whose business purpose is to supply, feed or accommodate truck drivers. Not only companies themselves can apply for the award. Truck drivers can also propose companies for the award.
The application period usually starts in autumn each year and is announced on the DocStop website, on Facebook and in the media of the transport industry.
In 2023, the DocStop Award was granted to the tank logistics company Weigand from Sittensen.
